KUCHING, April 26: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief Datuk Idris Buang has described Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (Dapsy) Sarawak publicity secretary Abdul Aziz Isa as “gago tua eja”.

“Gago tua eja” is Bahasa Sarawak cultural slang means “a young chap who is a busy-body”.

“Aziz is a mere ‘gago tua eja’ and is therefore not fit to give advice to older people,” said Idris in a statement yesterday.

Idris said it would be better for Aziz to save those words for himself as the latter had on many occasions offended others with uncalled-for statements and calling others names.

“Aziz better save those words of advice for himself as he had on many occasions [said] out uncouth and unsavoury terms at people including myself,” said Idris.

Idris was responding to Abdul Aziz, who had urged Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg to refrain from using unsavoury words when criticising the Pakatan Harapan (PH government).

Abdul Aziz said it was unbecoming of Abang Johari to utter words like “paloi” and “buruk siku”.

“Aziz himself had offended so many people in the past, making derogatory statements belittling others including myself.”

“He should apply the advice on himself first before giving it to others. To me, Aziz is only a tool used by DAP to hit at GPS (Gabungan parti Sarawak) leaders),” said Idris.

Idris also pointed out that Abang Johari had been known to jazz up his speech to amuse the audience at functions.

“Furthermore, it was out of frustration that the Chief Minister called the federal government ‘buruk siku’.

“Like any other human being, he (Abang Johari) can get frustrated especially in face of the arrogance and irresponsible attitude of some individuals.

“He (Abang Johari) did not mean to derogate but to speak the truth,” said Idris. — DayakDaily
