KUCHING, July 18: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg was appointed as the patron for Sarawak Golf Club (KGS).
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, KGS chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani made the announcement to the media after a courtesy call to the Premier at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
“Abang Johari previously was the president of KGS, and now he is appointed as the patron in accordance with the club’s constituency,” he said.
Morshidi said the State Secretary would be the new president of KGS.
He also believed that the new KGS committee members would further develop the club and its facilities to attract tourists. — DayakDaily
