Abang Jo attends second Special Cabinet Committee meeting in Putrajaya

KUCHING, March 5: The Special Cabinet Committee Meeting (Pemandu) or MA63 Steering Committee to review the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) met for a second time today at Putrajaya.

Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg attended the meeting with Assistant Minister of Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Deputy Speaker Datuk Gerawat Gala and State Attorney General Datuk Talat Mahmood Abdul Rashid.

This is the second Pemandu meeting held to review the implementation of the MA63, which is in line with the 40 promises made in Pakatan Harapan’s election manifesto.

The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The first one was held on Dec 17 last year, also chaired by the prime minister.

The main purpose of reviewing the MA63 is to restore the status of Sarawak and Sabah as partners in Malaysia.

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal was also present. — DayakDaily
