A total of 16 localities throughout the state were enforced with EMCO implementation

KUCHING, Sept 13: Sixteen localities in Limbang, Julau, Meradong, Sri Aman, Beluru, Kabong, Bintulu and Sebauh designated with Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today, said for five localities namely Rh Thaddeus in Pulau Brunei of Limbang, Rh Geramong in Pasir Putih Ayam Tiga Nanga Ayam of Julau, Rh Mandau in Sg Pidi Bintangor of Meradong, Rh Juan in Kampung Parit Beruang Tanjung Bijat and Rh James in Paku Ulu, both of Sri Aman, the EMCO implementation starts today (Sept 13) until Sept 26.

In one locality in Beluru involving Rh Anthony Lidi in Sungai Liam Bakong, the lockdown will run for 15 days starting today (Sept 13) until Sept 27, while Rh Igat Jimbun, Kop Sg Sawa Roban in Kabong, the EMCO implementation will start tomorrow (Sept 14) until Sept 27.


In Bintulu, seven localities namely Rh Engkabang Anggang in KM23 along Bintulu-Miri road, Block I in PPR Bandar Ria and Block A,B,M,L,G in Sg Plan Flat, the EMCO implementation has begun since yesterday (Sept 12) and will end on Sept 25.

Fourteen days lockdown from Sept 12 to Sept 25 are also conducted in two localities in Sebauh, namely Rh Gani Lansam in Sungai Sebangat along Sebauh-Bintulu road and Rh Eyus Esek in Sg Senggam along Ulu Sebauh road.

On the same note, SDMC announced the extension of EMCO implemented in seven localities in, Sri Aman, Lubok Antu, Betong and Mukah.

For Sri Aman, EMCO in Rh Miah in Kampung Munggu Ridan Pantu will end on Sept 20 while EMCO in Rh Manai in San Panjai of Lubok Antu will end on Sept 27.

For three localities in Betong, involving Rh Nyanggau in Bangkit Rembai Spaoh, Rh Ganya in Ulu Teru Debak and Rh Ulis in Tanu, the extension will start tomorrow (Sept 14) until Sept 27.

In Mukah, the one-week extension of EMCO involving Kg Sungai Alo and Kg Sungai Alo resettlement scheme, has began since Sept 12 and will run until Sept 18.

SDMC also disclosed the end of EMCO in 17 localities in Bintulu, Tatau, Sebauh, Betong, Lubok Antu, Bintulu, Tatau, Sri Aman, Simunjan and Pakan.

Rh Chali Jali in Bukit Sekubong of Sebauh, Rh Jepo in Dulang Debak of Betong, Rh William in Tanjung Paku Spaoh of Betong, Kampung Medang in Spaoh of Betong, Rh Ribon in Menyang Sedi of Lubok Antu, a rented room above 101 Food Court in Bintulu, SK Ulu Segan quarters in Bintulu, Rh Ado Bilong in Sungai Kakus of Tatau and TH Sungai Rasau Plantation of Simunjan ended EMCO implementation today (Sept 13).

Additionally, EMCO in Rh Andi in Lubok Besai Entaih of Pakan will end tomorrow (Sept 14).

Meanwhile, six other localities, namely a rented room above Car Wash 63 shop in Commerce Square of Bintulu (Sept 12), a rented room above Joyful Cafe of Bintulu, a rented room above Ing Hing Tyre of Bintulu, a rented room above Elaine Trading of Bintulu, Rh Norman Sanggat in Jalan Smarakan of Tatau, and Rh Edwin Gaund in Sg Sujan Padan of Sebauh, had their EMCO lifted yesterday (Sept 12). – DayakDaily.
