KUCHING, Oct 4: Sarawak registers a new community cluster in Limbang dubbed as Terimah Cluster after 13 residents of a longhouse located at Terimah, Lubai tested positive for Covid-19.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today said the longhouse has already been placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) prior to the detection of positive cases.
A total of 56 individuals have been screened whereby 13 people tested positive including the index case while 43 were negative.
All positive cases from the cluster were referred and admitted to Limbang Hospital as well as Low-Risk Treatment Centres (PKRC) in the district for isolation and further treatment.
At the same time, three clusters namely the Sungai Ringin Cluster in Meradong, Jalan Bulan Sabit Cluster in Miri and Jalan Batu Lintang Cluster in Kuching ended after no new infections were reported within the past 28-days.
Meanwhile, four existing clusters in the State recorded a total of nine additional cases of coronavirus.
The four clusters are the Tembok Limbang Cluster (5 cases), Bungey 2 Cluster (2), Kampung Segedup Cluster (1) and Long Urun Cluster (1).
At present, there are 100 active clusters of Covid-19 in Sarawak. – DayakDaily
