KUCHING, Dec 31: The late Datuk Dr Madeline Berma leaves behind an enduring legacy that has shaped the nation’s education and community development, particularly in Sarawak, Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi says.
Describing her as a dedicated community figure and a close personal friend, Nanta said her work went beyond academia, making a meaningful impact on society through education and development initiatives.
“She was a community figure known for her extensive contributions in the field of education and community development, especially for the State of Sarawak.
“Her passing is a great loss to the State and the country. I pray that the entire family will be given strength and fortitude to face this sad time,” he said, in a Facebook post.
Nanta also conveyed his deepest condolences to her family.
Madeline passed away at her residence in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor at 11.30am yesterday morning. She was 64 years old.– DayakDaily
