DARO, Aug 14: Two blocks of workers’ quarters housing 92 persons were destroyed in a fire near Batang Muara Lassa here this morning.
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Daro Fire Station received a distress call on the incident around 7.15am before deploying a team of firefighters to the scene.
“The fire razed two blocks of temporary structure which had 16 rooms.
“All residents for both blocks were totalled to 92, and no one was hurt in the incident,” it stated.
The operation to put out the fire ended at 9.32am. — DayakDaily
