LAWAS, Sept 10: An 80-year-old man is feared to have been attacked by a crocodile while bathing near the riverbank close to his home in Kampung Siang-Siang Laut, Terusan, yesterday (Sept 9).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Lawas responded to the emergency at 6.48pm, swiftly dispatching a team of firefighters to the scene.

According to reports, the elderly man failed to return home, and family members only discovered his towel and slippers left on the wooden platform by the riverbank.
Villagers immediately launched a search along the river using boats, but the man has yet to be found.
A formal search and rescue (SAR) operation was initiated this morning. — DayakDaily
