800 students in Kuala Rajang benefit from ‘Back To School’ programme

KUCHING, Jan 23: A total of 800 students in Kuala Rajang benefitted from a ‘Back To School’ programme.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), today, Assistant Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development Datu Len Talif Salleh said that a total of RM100,000 has been allocated this year for the programme.

He expressed his gratitude to the Sarawak government that community programmes such as this can still be implemented every year to help ease parents’ burden in providing school equipment for their children.

The programme was held at a local supermarket and in the Ar-Rahman Mosque in Kampung Seberang, Sarikei, on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Len Talif also visited of Ar-Rahman Mosque hall upgrading project in Kampung Seberang to monitor its progress.

The project started on Nov 4, 2021, and is expected to be completed on March 3, 2022.

The Kuala Rajang assemblyman was satisfied with the progress and hoped it would be completed according to the schedule. — DayakDaily
