KUCHING, March 2: Eight districts in Sarawak have been issued with yellow alerts for continuous heavy rain until Saturday (March 4).
According to Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) the districts affected are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit) and Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro, and Matu).
The department made the announcement via a Facebook post today.
It said a continuous rain warning (alert level) is issued when there are signs that rain or thunderstorms are expected to occur for more than 6 hours over that period in an area. — DayakDaily
