KUCHING, May 17: An elderly man who was reported missing in Sungai Kelik, Kabong, was found dead on the second day of the search operation.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, the victim, Mersat Bayang, 72, was found at 9am by villagers about two kilometres from where he was last seen.

After retrieving the body, it was later handed over to the police for identification by family members.
Based on the chronology, the victim went out to fish in Sungai Kelik at 1.30pm on May 16 before he was reported missing. — DayakDaily
