KUCHING, July 17: A 72-year-old man was killed after his van crashed into a lorry parked by the roadside near Kampung Rapak Atas, Jalan Sri Aman-Serian today.
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Sri Aman Fire Station (BBP) deployed a team to the scene after receiving a call from IPD Sri Aman at 1.56pm.
Upon arrival, the team then used a rescue tool to extricate the victim who was stuck in the driver’s seat of the van.

“After the victim was freed, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer.
“The body of the deceased was handed over to the police for further action,” the report stated.
The victim was identified as Tan Kok Sun. — DayakDaily
