SARATOK, June 18: A 72-year-old driver was declared dead after he was found lying unconscious outside his car after a crash with a 4WD vehicle along Jalan Saratok-Roban this morning (June 18).
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak responded to the emergency at 7.22am and swiftly mobilised a team of firefighters from Saratok station to the scene.
Paramedics from the Ministry of Health pronounced the elderly man deceased on-site, while the 38-year-old driver and the 22-year-old passenger of the 4WD vehicle were uninjured.
Firefighters recovered the deceased’s man body, which was then handed over to the police for further procedures.
The operation concluded after firefighters cleared accident debris from the road and secured the safety of the accident site. — DayakDaily
