KUCHING, May 28: A 70-year-old man perished in a road accident today after the van he was driving collided with a Perodua Aruz at Kampung Senangeh, Asajaya.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a team from the Asajaya station was dispatched to the scene, where they found the van driver had died on the spot.
The driver and two passengers in the Perodua Aruz sustained only minor injuries. They were rescued from the wreckage by members of the public prior to the arrival of rescue personnel and were later taken to the Sadong Jaya Clinic for immediate medical treatment.
The deceased was handed over to the police for further action. After clearing and cleaning the accident site, the Bomba team returned to their station. – DayakDaily
