KUCHING, Aug 26: Seven religious institutions in Mambong constituency have received a total of RM880,000 from Unit for Other Religions (Unifor).
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) yesterday (Aug 25), Deputy Minister for Transport (Aviation and Roads) Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, who is also Mambong assemblyman, hoped the funds will be utilised according to the specifications as applied by the institutions.
He said this during the handing over ceremony of Unifor cheque to committee members representing the institutions held in Padawan.
The institutions that received the funds are Kampung Braang Sigandar SDA Church (RM120,000), Saint George’s Chapel Church (RM150,000), Saint Michael’s Church (RM140,000), Meyer Spring SDA Church (RM150,000), Kampung Braang Payang SDA Church (RM120,000), Saint Luke Evangelist (RM150,000) and Saint Mark’s Church(RM50,000). — DayakDaily
