SIBU, Jan 14: Two adults and a six-year-old boy were injured in an accident at Jalan Deshon today.
According to a report by the Fire and Rescue Department, a call about the accident was received at 12.13am and firefighters were deployed from the Sungai Merah station.
“The operations commander reported that the single-vehicle accident involved a lorry that ended up in a 20-foot deep ravine,” said the report.
One of the victims, a 54-year-old woman, was stabilised with a C-collar and an upper limb immobiliser on her right hand which was believed to be fractured and was later transported to the hospital.
The other victims, a 54-year-old man and the boy, were safely removed from the vehicle by the public before Bomba personnel arrived.
The operation ended at 12.43am. — DayakDaily
