KUCHING, June 15: A victim tragically burnt to death after their car caught erupted in flames at Batu Niah, Miri yesterday (June 14).

According to a report by Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a call regarding the fire at 11.05pm and dispatched a firefighter team from Batu Niah.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found that a Proton Wira Aeroback vehicle had been completely burnt, with the fire already extinguished before their arrival.

After conducting their inspection, firefighters discovered the victim in the driver’s seat.

The victim was identified as 63-year-old male by the name Chen Kian Seong.

“The firefighters conducted an operation of removing the victim from the vehicle and handed the victim over to the police for further action,” read the report. —DayakDaily
