KUCHING, Jan 19: A 56-year-old man from Serian was found dead after being reported missing near Kampung Lanchang.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, the victim, Domenick David, who was reported missing yesterday (Jan 18), was found by the search team at 9.50am today.
The victim’s body was found in a river stream about 4 kilometres from the village and was confirmed dead by police personnel.
The victim was reported missing at 6.29pm on Jan 18 by family members when he failed to return home after going to a durian plantation nearby the village area in the morning.
Following that, a search and rescue team comprised of firefighters from Bomba Serian’s K9 Unit was deployed. — DayakDaily
