KUCHING, Sept 1: A 56-year-old man died while two other passengers were injured in a single-vehicle accident at Jalan Stapok Utama last night.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak, firefighters from Batu Lintang Station discovered the man pinned in the driver’s seat upon arrival at the scene at 10.22pm.
The victim was pronounced dead on-site by paramedics from the Ministry of Health.
The other two passengers, a man and a woman, managed to exit the vehicle with the help of members of the public before the Bomba team arrived.
The deceased’s body was handed over to the police for further necessary procedures.
Meanwhile, the two surviving passengers were transported to the hospital for medical attention. — DayakDaily
