52 community leaders, 589 Ketua Kaum elected in Kapit

KUCHING, Jan 17: A total of 52 Community Leaders and 589 Ketua Kaum (KK) have been appointed in the Kapit Division.

However, another Community Leader and 24 new KKs are still required to complete the total of 53 community leaders and 613 KKs needed for the constituency.

Minister of Works and Kapit Member of Parliament Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi shared this update in a recent Facebook post following his attendance at the Kapit Division Community Leaders and Ketua Kaum Election Panel (PPKMKK) meeting at the Kapit Division Resident’s Office on Friday (Jan 16).

“These appointments are very important to ensure that administration and service delivery to the people at the grassroots level can be implemented more effectively and systematically,” he said.

The meeting, chaired by Kapit Division Resident Elvis Anak Didit, discussed matters related to the appointment and selection of community leadership in the Kapit Division. – DayakDaily
