51yo woman killed in collision at Jalan Selitut, Tatau-Bintulu

BINTULU, Dec 24: A 51-year-old woman was killed in a collision at Jalan Selitut, Tatau-Bintulu here around 3.30pm today.

According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the victim was one of four people travelling in a Proton Iriz.

The remaining people in the Proton Iriz were a 52-year-old man (driver), an 18-year-old girl who suffered serious injuries and a 12-year-old girl who escaped with a minor injury.


The vehicle collided with a Proton Saga driven by a 48-year-old man who also suffered serious injury.

“All victims were extricated with the help of public before Bomba’s arrival except the deceased’s body.

“They were rushed to Tatau Health Clinic for treatment while the Bomba team conducted flushing works to ensure that the road is safe for other users,” Bomba said. — DayakDaily
