KUCHING, April 6: Some 500 physical application forms for Kuching Festival Food Fair 2024 have been snapped up by vendors as of 4pm yesterday (April 5).

Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng stated that this count does not include the online application forms that have been downloaded.

“Additionally, more than ten vendors have already completed and submitted their applications,” he updated during his ShallWeeTalk Facebook live today.

The application process for participation in this eagerly awaited annual festival in Kuching commenced two days prior (April 4).

Wee encouraged those interested in showcasing their food, products, and services to seize the opportunity to be part of the festival, which promises to celebrate food, culture, music, and community spirit this year.

Application forms are still available at Counters 8 and 9 in the lobby of the MBKS headquarters. The deadline for submission is 4pm on April 19, 2024.

“Let’s do this together. Keep in mind that the selection criteria will be based mainly on creativity and innovation, including using local and indigenous ingredients in crafting their gastronomic offerings,” he said.

The Kuching Festival Food Fair 2024 will return to MBKS grounds, running from July 26 to Aug 18 this year.

It will feature 330 stalls, including 91 premium stalls, 53 single stalls, 156 half stalls, a Chinese home-cooked delicacy corner, 25 double stalls, one drinks stall, and three beer stalls. — DayakDaily
