KUCHING, July 8: Police arrested five men in Tanjung Manis for cockfighting in a raid on Saturday (July 6).
Meradong District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sekam Anoi said the local suspects fled but the police managed to detain them.

The police also confiscated six cocks, three alive and three dead, during their raid, as reported by TVS yesterday (July 7).
The raid was carried out by police officers from the Meradong District Criminal Investigation Division led by Inspector Meredolyin.
The arrest and seizure was made and investigated under Section 3(1) of the Animal Cruelty Measures (LLPTB) 1962. — DayakDaily
