4yo child escapes unharmed in single-vehicle accident at Kuching-Serian road

KUCHING, Dec 16: A 4-year-old child escaped unharmed in a single-vehicle accident at Mile 37 along Kuching-Serian road.

According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, following a distress call from MERS 999 at 9.01am, a team from Bomba Serian was deployed to the location led by PBK II KUP Dobbin Dindot.

The driver, a 36-year-old man, was believed to have lost control of the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), which fell into a ditch. Both he and his 55-year-old female passenger sustained injuries from the accident.

Upon arrival, firefighters proceeded to extricate the driver, who was sent to Serian Hospital using Bomba’s Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS).

The woman and the child were assisted out of the vehicle earlier on by the public before being sent to Serian Hospital.

Bomba ended the operation at 9.43am after ensuring the area was safe. ā€” DayakDaily
