SIBU, April 6: A 48-year old man lost his life after his four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle was involved in an accident in Jalan Wong King Huo yesterday.
Sibu district police chief, Zulkipli Suhaili said in the 5.53pm accident, the victim lost control of his vehicle near a traffic light intersection.
“His four-wheel drive hit another four-wheel drive on his right. After that it rammed into the back of a car before going down into the drain,” he said.
As a result of the collision, the car veered into the opposite lane and collided with two vehicles.
“The victim was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene,” said Zulkipli.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1981. — DayakDaily
