MIRI, Dec 16: A 43-year-old local man was arrested last night (Dec 15) as police seized various types of drugs valued at RM111,663 during an operation.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu stated that the arrest was made due to the man’s suspected involvement in drug trafficking activities.
“The seized substances included Ketamine, Ecstasy, and Methamphetamine (Syabu), with a combined weight of approximately 1.9kg.
“The discovery of these illicit substances resulted from a raid conducted on Dec 15 at around 9.10pm,” he said.
In addition to the drug seizure, narcotics personnel also impounded the suspect’s Perodua MyVi valued at about RM20,000.
The case is currently under investigation, and charges are anticipated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
