“We have 43 projects in Sarawak totalling RM38 million that we are updating, covering education, environment, public space, arts and also our research on Sarawak rice, which has very high potential,” Siti Kamariah said, according to a report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas).

She noted that all 43 initiatives are being carried out in partnership with 39 local non-governmental organisations (NGOs), with active participation from the Anak Jati Sarawak community.

During the meeting, they also briefed the Premier on the Khazanah ACE² Heritage Textile Fellowship, which is implemented in collaboration with the Sarawak Centre for Technical Excellence (CENTEXS). Participants of the fellowship are currently undergoing a ‘textile fellowship’ in Turkey to learn how to promote the work of artisans from Sarawak, which also has great potential to penetrate the global market.

Siti Kamariah added that Yayasan Hasanah hopes to expand its cooperation with the Sarawak government, particularly in programmes aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). – DayakDaily
