411 Sarawakian students receive one-off PerantiSiswa package, applications still open until Sept 30

KUCHING, Sept 20: A total of 411 students from the Teacher Education Institute (IPG) Batu Lintang Campus and IPG Tun Abdul Razak Campus received devices under the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family Student Device) package which begins today.

According to a statement by Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (K-KOMM), its Minister Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Annuar Musa, presented the devices in a ceremony held at IPG Batu Lintang Campus here.

Each device comes with a branded tablet equipped with a Bluetooth keyboard, stylus pen and case.


The recipients consisted of 144 students of IPG Batu Lintang Campus and 267 students of IPG Tun Abdul Razak Campus, who fall under the B40 group with a household income of RM4,850 and below.

The distribution session of the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia package is a collaboration between the K-KOMM as the lead Ministry, and the Ministry of Education (MoE).

In the same statement, K-KOMM informed that the number of applications that have been approved for Sarawak is 7,400 students as of Sept 20.

B40 students can still apply for the one-off PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia while applications are still open until Sept 30 via https://perantisiswa.kkmm.gov.my.
