LUNDU, Dec 25: A 40-year-old man who was lost in the forest at Bukit Gondol near Kampung Belungei here was found safe by the beach today.
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a distress call at 4.57pm about the missing man before mobilising a team from Lundu Fire Station to the location.
“During the search, a villager who was found fishing with his son on the beach, stated that he found the victim lying on the beach due to exhaustion.
“The villager said he has advised the victim to return to his accommodation via the beach road.
“Following this tip, we (Bomba) found the victim in a sitting position due to fatigue and early treatment was given to him,” the report said.
The victim was not injured and was rushed to Lundu Hospital afterwards. — DayakDaily
