KUCHING, Aug 21: Four new air conditioning units have been installed in response to complaints about warm conditions at Tanah Puteh clinic.
According to a press release today, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) promptly took action by seeking assistance from the Love Book Association, to address the issue.
The local organisation known for its dedication to community welfare sponsored the air conditioning units, including comprehensive servicing and provision of necessary parts, amounting to approximately RM30,000, to enhance the comfort of the clinic’s environment.
MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng emphasised the importance of decisive action and collaboration in serving the community effectively.
“The swift and effective response demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving, focusing on tangible improvements rather than just discussing the issues. This collaborative effort underscores the message that actions speak louder than words.
“We are pleased with the support from the Love Book Association and their significant contribution to improving the conditions at Tanah Puteh health clinic,” he said in the press release following a visit to the clinic today.
Wee reaffirmed MBKS’ commitment to playing its part and fulfilling its roles in advancing the quality of services for Sarawak.
“The focus remains on effective solutions and active engagement to ensure the well-being of all residents,” he added. — DayakDaily
