KUCHING, Aug 24: A temporary road diversion will be implemented along the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway, from ‘Eden on the Park’ to the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) junction, for four months starting Aug 23, 2025, until Dec 15, 2025, to facilitate construction works.
According to a notice issued by Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro), the diversion will be enforced daily for 24 hours to allow for the construction of the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) guideway lane and the laying of a culvert.
Road users are advised to be cautious when driving in the affected area and adhere strictly to all traffic management control measures, road warning signs and speed limits to ensure the safety of both motorists and construction workers.
“Sarawak Metro will duly notify the public if there are any changes to this notification. Road users are advised to plan their journey accordingly,” the company said.
