4 critical patients among Sarawak’s 36 new Covid-19 cases

KUCHING, Dec 20: Sarawak registered 36 new Covid-19 cases today, out of which four patients are in critical condition.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee’s (SDMC) report, three patients are on ventilators in Category 5, and one patient has pneumonia in Category 3.

There were also 17 patients with mild symptoms in Category 2 and 15 asymptomatic patients in Category 1.


The new cases reported in Sarawak brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases Statewide to 252,033.

Seven out of 40 districts across Sarawak reported new cases.

Kuching has the most cases with 16 followed by Sibu (7), Miri (6), Lawas (3), Sarikei (2), Bintulu (1), and Mukah (1).

The balance of the 33 districts reported zero new Covid-19 cases.

They are Samarahan, Kanowit, Lundu, Meradong, Sri Aman, Kapit, Bukit Mabong, Serian, Limbang, Subis, Telang Usan, Beluru, Betong, Tanjung Manis, Dalat, Saratok, Asajaya, Lubok Antu, Sebauh, Kabong, Belaga, Simunjan, Bau, Selangau, Tebedu, Tatau, Julau, Pakan, Daro, Marudi, Pusa, Matu and Song.
