KUCHING, Oct 4: The ground floor of the Third Mile Market will be temporarily closed for seven to ten days starting from Oct 14 to facilitate improvement and upgrading works.
Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) announced today that the project, which began on July 15, is nearing completion, with the final task being the application of an anti-slip epoxy flake coating on the ground floor.
The closure duration will depend on weather conditions, as optimal conditions are needed for the anti-slip coating to be applied effectively.
The RM300,000 project includes several upgrades, such as the installation of a rainwater harvesting system, construction of staircase awnings, replacement of the polycarbonate upper roofing, painting works on the first-floor ceiling and parapet wall, and waterproofing of the upper and lower roof slabs.
Additionally, MPP will install 15 ceiling fans on the ground and first floors, and apply the anti-slip epoxy flake coating over an area of approximately 1,130 square meters on the ground floor. — DayakDaily
