MIRI, Aug 28: A 39-year-old Indonesian woman was found dead inside a room that was locked from the inside at a commercial centre here this evening.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 5.06pm, and firefighters from the Lopeng station were deployed.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the room locked from the inside.
After gaining entry, the operation team found the woman inside the room, and she was subsequently confirmed dead by Ministry of Health personnel.
Bomba said its personnel removed the body before handing it over to the police.
The operation ended at about 7.20pm, after which the firefighters returned to the station.
