KUCHING, Nov 20: A 36-year-old man suffered burn injuries after the vehicle he was in caught fire in Kota Sentosa this morning.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Kota Sentosa, which responded to the emergency at 8.05am, reported that the victim sustained burns on several parts of his body in the incident.
He was immediately taken to the Kota Sentosa Health Clinic by Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel for further treatment.
Firefighters reported that the interior of the vehicle was about 30 per cent burnt.
Operations commander PBK II (TBK I) Awang Iskandar Rashid Awang Seruji said the fire had already been fully extinguished before the team’s arrival.
Bomba personnel then carried out a thorough inspection to ensure there were no remaining hotspots or risk of re-ignition. The operation concluded at 9.03am once the scene was confirmed safe. — DayakDaily
