KUCHING, March 4: A 35-year-old woman from Limbang was reported to be brought-in-dead (BID) as Sarawak’s daily Covid-19 cases increased slightly to 1,333 today.
According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the deceased, who was without any illness passed away at Hospital Limbang on Feb 28, bringing the overall Covid-19 death in the state to 1,630.
On the breakdown of cases, Kuching reported the most with 548, followed by Miri with 198 and Sibu 184, while 12 districts reported double digit cases, namely in Bintulu (76), Sarikei (44), Serian (43), Samarahan (34), Bau (29), Limbang (26), Mukah (20), Matu (17), Lawas (14), Betong (13), Sri Aman (10) and Dalat (10).
Another 20 districts recorded single digit cases, which are Meradong (9), Marudi (7), Kapit (6), Saratok (6), Pusa (5), four cases each in Lundu, Kanowit, Subis and Lubok Antu, Song (3), two cases each in Daro, Kabong, Julau, Asajaya and Pakan, while Tatau, Simunjan, Sebauh, Bukit Mabong and Tebedu reported one case each respectively.
This brings the total cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the State to 264,956.
Four of the cases were classified under Category 5 with lung infections and requiring ventilator support, while two cases were classified under Category 3 with lung infections, and the remaining 775 cases in Category 2 and 552 cases in Category 1.
No new Covid-19 clusters were reported, and four clusters remain active in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
