33yo woman killed after car skids off Jalan Mukah–Balingian

KUCHING, Mar 10: A 33-year-old woman who worked as a shop assistant was killed after she lost control of the car she was driving and skidded off Kilometre 46, Jalan Mukah–Balingian, today.

According to Mukah district police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias, the victim was believed to have been driving alone from Bintulu to Mukah at the time of the accident.

“She was believed to have lost control of her vehicle before skidding into the bushes on the opposite side of the right side of the road,” he said in a statement.

The victim, who was found unconscious, was brought to the Balingian Health Clinic but was later pronounced dead due to severe head injuries.

Initial investigations found that the road at the scene is a two-way stretch that is winding and slippery. — DayakDaily
