SIBU, June 7: A 32-year-old man is facing the mandatory death sentence after he was caught in possession of 237.64g of drugs worth approximately RM20,269 on Wednesday (June 5).

Sibu district police chief Zulkipli Suhaili said the suspect was detained at about 5pm from an entertainment centre in Lorong Langsat.

“An assortment of drugs, which include ecstasy, Eramin 5, ketamine, and ‘mushrooms’, were found,” he said.

A urine screening test conducted also found that the suspect was positive for drugs.

Zulkipli said the suspect with two drug-related records had been remanded for seven days to assist the investigation under Section 39B and Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
