KUCHING, Feb 29: A 30-year old motorcyclist was killed in a road accident at Kilometer 4 of Jalan Tepok Sarikei.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received call regarding the incident at 8.33am and despatched a team from Bomba Sarikei to the location.
The operation commander reported that the incident involve a Perodua Kenari and a motorcycle.
The driver of Perodua Kenari managed to get out of the vehicle before the arrival of the firefighters while the motorcyclist was found unconscious inside a roadside drain and confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel from Ministry of Health (MOH).
The deceased’s body was later handed over to the police by firefighters after conducting a size-up at the location.
