MIRI, May 23: A 30-year-old man was killed and another male passenger injured after their vehicle crashed along Jalan Miri By-pass near Pujut Padang Kerbau in the early hours of today.
The Lopeng Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received an emergency call at 12.23am and promptly dispatched a team to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters found both victims trapped inside a Proton S70. A rescue operation using rescue tools was immediately carried out to extricate them from the wreckage.
The victims were then handed over to paramedics and police for further action.
The operation concluded at 1.32am after firefighters ensured the scene was safe. — DayakDaily
