3 jobless men collared in drug raid in Miri

MIRI, March 16: Three unemployed men were arrested in a drug bust at Bandar Baru Permyjaya here yesterday morning.

The suspects, aged 21, 48 and 56, all tested positive for Methamphetamine. One of them also has a record for drug possession previously.

Miri deputy police chief Supt Sabri Zainol, when contacted by DayakDaily, said a team from Miri Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) raided a house at about 11am and found the trio to be in possession of drugs.

Seized were drugs, believed to be Methamphetamine, weighing 5.11g and with a street value of RM800.

The case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug possession. — DayakDaily
