27-year-old believed to be killed by crocodile in Telaga Air

KUCHING, Mar 12: It is believed that a 27-year-old man who went missing during a fishing trip in Sungai Selang in Telaga Air has been killed by a crocodile.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue (Bomba) department operation center said they received a distress call from a man named Mohamad Monir Edi at 11.54pm on Mar 11.

“The caller informed that a man, Norizam Mat Sukur, was suspected missing and believed to have been killed by a crocodile, during a fishing trip in nearby Sungai Terombol,” the statement said.

It was also noted that the victim’s personal belongings had also been found. At the time of the report, a Search and Rescue (SAR) operation involving various government enforcement agencies have been deployed in search for the victim. —DayakDaily.
