LIMBANG, Dec 18: A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a road traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a car at Taman Tasik Bukit Mas here this morning.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Limbang responded to the emergency at around 7.40am and promptly dispatched a team led by PBK I Dzuriman Suhaimi.
According to a final report, three people were involved in the crash, with two sustaining injuries and one confirmed dead at the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that two occupants of the Toyota Sienta car, a man and a woman, suffered injuries.
An elderly female passenger was not trapped and was successfully evacuated by the firefighters using a stretcher.
All injured victims were handed over to paramedics from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and transported to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by MOH personnel. Upon the arrival of police personnel, the deceased was handed over to the police for further investigation.
Firefighters also carried out road-cleaning works to remove accident debris and ensure the area was safe for public use before concluding their operation. — DayakDaily
