MIRI, March 13: A 26-year-old biker was found lifeless after he crashed into a deep drain near River View in Senadin last night (March 12).
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak responded to an emergency call at 8.49pm and immediately mobilised a team of firefighters from the Lutong Station to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the rider and his motorcycle submerged inside the drain.
The firefighters then used a ladder to reach and retrieve the victim.
Employing a harness, they carefully lifted the victim out of the drain.
The victim was transferred to awaiting paramedics on-site, who unfortunately pronounced him dead shortly after their assessment.
The operation concluded after firefighters ensured the safety of the site. — DayakDaily
