26 localities placed under lockdown while 30 including Uma Belor, Rh Jangan Bunyi under extension

KUCHING, Sept 2: A total of 26 localities have been placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) today while 30 more including Uma Daro, Uma Beloh and Rumah Jangan Bunyi have been put under extended lockdown for seven more days.

In Bintulu, the new locations or premises placed under lockdown mainly involved rented rooms in shop lots with the lockdown starting yesterday til Sept 14, 2021. These seven premises comprise SK Ulu Segan quarters, a rented room above Kedai Ing Hing Tyre, a rented room above Joyful Cafe, a rented room above Kedai Car Wash 63 of Commerce Square, a rented room above Kedai Elaine Trading and a rented room above Kedai 101 Food Court.

Not far from Bintulu, in Sebauh district, three longhouses were also put under lockdown. They are Rumah Chali anak Jali of Bukit Sekubong, Rumah Edwin anak Gaung of Sg Sujan and Rumah Jimbai anak Saban of Jalan Spur Ulu Sebauh. Their EMCO started yesterday and will end on Sept 14, 2021.

The same lockdown period also applies to Rumah Maria of Engkilili, Lubok Antu while Rumah Engkabi of San Semanju in Lubok Antu will be in lockdown from today until Sept 15.

In Sri Aman, Rumah Walter of Munggu Demam started its EMCO yesterday which is due to end on Sept 14. Rumah Bugak Bunsi and Rumah Merong Nangkai, both of Pantu also started their EMCO today which is scheduled to end on Sept 15.

In Pakan, Rumah Jonathan of Ng Kara, Rumah Morris of Nyalak Ili and Rumah Ensilin of Lemujan are under EMCO from today until Sept 18, 2021. The same EMCO period applies to three longhouses in Julau, namely Rumah Unjah of Nanga Luau, as well as Rumah Ayup and Rumah Nyandang, both of Nanga Lasi Mit.

In Southern Sarawak, Kampung Serpan Laut and Kampung Sampun Gerunggang of Asajaya will be in lockdown from tomorrow until Sept 16, while Rumah Budol of Spaoh, Rumah Gebriel of Sg Sibau, both in Betong will start EMCO from tomorrow until Sept 17.

Similarly, the residents of Rumah Mulok in Krian and Rumah Jemat of Awik in Saratok, will have to stay put from tomorrow until Sept 17.

Meanwhile, the EMCO at Uma Daro (Blok C and F) and Uma Belor (Blok C and G) of Belaga has been extended to Sept 8. The same fate applies to Rumah Tunai of Batang Ai. The EMCO at Kampung Hilir Maludam of Pusa is extended by two more weeks until Sept 15.

Apart from Uma Daro and Uma Belor, 26 other localities in Belaga have been placed under extended lockdown. This includes Sekolah Kebangsaan Long Urun, Rumah Pait Awan, Long Dulit U Dikan of Tr Clement Usang, Rumah Dang Lajang, Rumah Besi Balan, Kem Putra Mas Urun, Rumah Robert Long Urun, Rumah Rober Long Urun and Rumah Udau Tedon.

The remainder are Rumah Jangan Bunyi, Rumah Bisie Jenea, Rumah Ating Tajai, Rumah John Ding Kun, Rumah Labang Vet, Rumah Baya Sipat and Uma Para of Tr Eric William Sia, Uma Badeng of Tr Asimdy Agau and Jambatan Urun of Tr Anthony Lerang, Tabika Kemas Long Urun and Kuarters Tenaga Solar SEB, Ladang Sawit Urun 1 to 8.

The EMCO for these 26 localities has been extended to Sept 9, 2021.

Meanwhile, eight villages and longhouses have been released from EMCO, comprising Rumah Benggau of Kapit, Kampung Bintawa Tengah dan Hulu of Kuching, Kampung Sungai Maong 2 of Kuching, Kampung Sibuluh of Bau, a pig farming area of Simunjan, Rumah Biju of Lubok Antu, Rumah Adih Usang of Belaga and Rumah Ado anak Bilong of Tatau. — DayakDaily
