TANJUNG MANIS, Aug 11: A total of 239 anglers participated in the Tanjung Manis Fishing Safari 2023 that started today and will end on Aug 13 (Sunday).
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, 53 anglers with eight boats registered for the Deep Sea category, while 186 with 186 boats and ‘perahu’ (wooden boat) registered for the Coastal category.
Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) senior assistant general manager (Project and Engineering) Sadiah Tu flagged off the deep sea event at Tanjung Manis Terminal today.
Ukas also reported that Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to attend the closing ceremony on Sunday (Aug 13). — DayakDaily
