KUCHING, Sept 25: A total of 231 recipients were honoured with Sarawak awards, decorations and medals in a formal investiture ceremony held at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) Complex, Petra Jaya today.
The formal ceremony honoured individuals for their dedicated service, contributions, and outstanding achievements in advancing the holistic development of both Sarawak and its people.
According to TVS, Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar conferred the awards, beginning with Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak – Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK) to 23 recipients, including Dr Johnny Pangkas, Dr Huzaimah Husin and Hasanah Majais.
This was followed by the presentation of the Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB) to 31 recipients. including Yalin Asan, Ong Ah Peng, and Salbiah Salleh, while Major (Rtd) Kaha Othman, Ha Tung Ing, and Nala Runggai were among those who received the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS).
More than 30 individuals were conferred the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK), including Abang Zakaria Abang Ali, Anthony Bang, and Dorin Dobin.
In the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (PPT) category, 62 recipients were recognised, among them Fabian Aru, Kipli Dolah, and Dorti Mulong.
The ceremony concluded with the conferment of the Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS), awarded to over 60 recipients including Ali Timbang, Bujang Entili, and Alyssa Mona Mulok.
Also in attendance was the wife of the Sarawak Governor, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi. — DayakDaily
