KUCHING, Dec 7: A 22-year-old man died around 10am this morning after his motorcycle collided with the rear of a four-wheel-drive vehicle along Lutong–Kuala Baram Road in Miri.
Miri district police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the motorcyclist was travelling from Lutong towards Miri when he hit the 4WD, driven by a 53-year-old local man, who was heading in the same direction.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Miri police urged anyone with information to contact Traffic Investigation Officer Insp Mohd Faizul Ab Rahim at 014-8582582 / 085-430479, or any nearby police station.
