21 new localities added into EMCO list, while 14 others ended today

KUCHING, Sept 3: A total of 21 localities in Lubok Antu, Subis, Beluru, Betong, Serian, Simunjan, Tatau and Sebauh have been designated with the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today, the two-week lockdown involving Rh. Idat, Lubok Subong in Lubok Antu starts today (Sept 3) and will run until Sept 16.


For four localities, involving Sarawak Palm Oil Mill in Suai 1 Estate (Gelasah Divison) and Gelasah Palm Oil Mill in KM120, along Miri-Bintulu road, both of Subis, Kampung Long Aton in Tinjar and SK Long Aton in Ulu Tinjar, both of Beluru, the 15-day EMCO also starts today (Sept 3) until Sept 17.

In Betong, three localities namely Rh. Tayan in Ng. Penebak Ulu Layar, Rh. Bantan in Sg. Langit, and Rh. Edward in Batu Lintang, are targeted for the 14-day EMCO implementation starting tomorrow (Sept 4), until Sept 17.

The same period of lockdown will also be imposed in four localities in Serian, involving Kampung Mapu Kijabu, Kampung Mapu Tantu, Kampung Mapu Sadong and Kampung Mapu Tragus, and it will start on Sept 4, until Sept 17.

This includes four localities in Simunjan, involving Kampung Spaoh, Kampung Spaoh Kiri, Kampung Spaoh Raba Baru and Kampung Spaoh Engkabang (also from Sept 4, until Sept 17).

For five other localities, namely Rh. Suang Gambai in Nanga Sana of Tatau, Rh. Enggul Ujan in Sg. Selitut of Tatau, Rh. Norma Sanggat in Jalan Samarakan of Tatau, Rh. Beraoh Emperan in KM8 and Rh. Timban Metan in Sg. Setulai, both located along Sebauh-Bintulu road of Sebauh, the 14-day lockdown has begun since Sept 2, and will run until Sept 15.

Meanwhile, SDMC also announced the end of EMCO on 14 localities in Lundu, Samarahan, Simunjan, Bintulu, Julau and Sri Aman, today.

The affected localities are Kampung Tanah Hitam 1 and Kampung Tanah Hitam 2, both of Sematan, Kampung Sebayor in Kota Samarahan of Samarahan, Kampung Semalatong (Simpang Samalatong and Samalatong Indah) of Simunjan, Kampung Samalatong Lama of Simunjan, Kampung Samalatong Baru of Simunjan, Kampung Sg. Semebang of Simunjan and Kg. Sibau Rumbau of Simunjan, Rumah Layuh ak Muyang in Ulu Sebauh road of Bintulu, rented room (above Daiken Cafe) in Tanjung Kidurong of Bintulu, Restoran An. Najah’s workers rented room of Bintulu, and Rh. Achi in Sg. Beladian of Julau.

For one locality involving Rh. Betie in Kampung Jaong Asal Pantu of Sri Aman, the EMCO implemented ended yesterday (Sept 2). — DayakDaily
