KUCHING, Aug 22: A new community cluster has emerged at Kampung Matang Lot, with 21 residents testing positive for Covid-19 as of today.
According to a report by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today, 100 individuals so far have been screened in relation to the Kampung Matang Lot Cluster.
Of the total, 52 tested negative and one person is awaiting laboratory test results.
SDMC said all patients were admitted to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and Low-Risk Treatment and Quarantine Centres (PKRCs) in Kuching for isolation and treatment purposes.
Meanwhile, Sarawak also recorded two other new clusters, namely the Kampung Lintang Baru Cluster in Serian and Sungai Penyarai 2 Cluster in Tatau.
The new Serian cluster reported 62 positive cases while the one in Tatau has registered 57 confirmed cases as of today.
No clusters were declared ended today. Sarawak currently has 119 active clusters. — DayakDaily
